The Opportunity

Vice President of Operations – Full-time, in-person position at our Benner Pike office in State College, PA.

We’re seeking a strategic and hands-on leader to oversee all aspects of Credit Union Operations. The VP of Operations will drive operational excellence, ensure consistent delivery of high-quality member service, and develop the systems, policies, and procedures that support Arize’s continued growth. As a member of the Senior Management Team, this position contributes to strategic planning and plays a critical role in aligning operational processes with organizational priorities.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide leadership and oversight of Credit Union Operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance across all functions.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain operational policies and procedures that promote consistency, quality, and member satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with the Chief Retail Officer to align branch operations with strategic initiatives and ensure seamless service delivery across channels.
  • Manage operational risk and internal controls, ensuring adherence to security, regulatory, and audit standards.
  • Oversee deposit operations, ACH and wire processing, share drafts, card services, and related systems.
  • Coordinate with IT, Compliance, and Finance to maintain reliable operational infrastructure and reporting.
  • Evaluate and optimize systems performance, vendor relationships, and service delivery models.
  • Lead, coach, and develop operations staff; set performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback and support.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategic and annual business plans.
  • Serve as a key resource for operational problem-solving and process improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

  • Five to seven years of related experience in operations management, preferably within a credit union or financial institution.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Strong understanding of credit union operations, regulatory compliance, and electronic payment systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and engage staff.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and influence positive change.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to member service excellence.
