The Opportunity:
Assistant Branch Manager; full-time, in-person position in State College, PA.
We’re looking for an experienced, member-focused Assistant Branch Manager to help lead our branch team. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Branch Manager to ensure the branch meets its financial, operational, service, and growth goals. You’ll guide staff, serve members, and make lending decisions within your delegated authority, all while creating a welcoming environment that reflects our values.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide exceptional service by assessing members’ needs, recommending solutions, and building strong relationships
- Support the Branch Manager in achieving branch goals and managing daily operations
- Perform and oversee branch functions including account opening, transactions, lending, and problem resolution
- Interview loan applicants, recommend options, and approve consumer loans within authority
- Lead, motivate, and evaluate team members; assist with hiring, training, and scheduling
- Monitor branch cash levels, security protocols, and compliance with credit union policies
- Represent Arize in the community and participate in outreach activities
- Manage the branch in the Branch Manager’s absence
What You’ll Bring:
- Three to five years of similar or related experience, preferably in a credit union or banking environment
- A two-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of credit union regulations, deposit products, and lending practices
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and build trust
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to delivering a consistent, high-quality member experience
