The Opportunity:
Senior Compliance Specialist; Full-time, in-person in State College, PA
The Senior Compliance Specialist is responsible for providing support and assistance to the Compliance department by reviewing account activity, updating policies and procedures, and assisting in general compliance needs. Assists Compliance Manager in various daily tasks. Provides professional service to members and other staff.
What You’ll Do:
- Compliance Support; Assist with Bank Secrecy Act CIP. Provide back-up support for IAT OFAC/ESO review as necessary. Assist with reviews of reports of cash activity, abnormal activity, file maintenance, dormant accounts. Complete assigned paperwork for Affirm-X Artifact Responses as assigned. Assist in the preparation for audit and regulatory examinations.
- In collaboration with the Compliance Officer, provide operational support in validating that compliance audit findings are resolved and promptly addressed.
- Compliance Research and Training; Attend training on new or updated Compliance Regulations. Conduct research on Compliance related issues, changes, updates as needed. Assist in training development for staff to ensure proper implementation of compliance procedures/policies.
- Compliance-related Procedure Maintenance; Assist in responding to compliance-related procedural questions, suggestions.
- Coordinate Policy reviews; facilitate regular policy review schedule, collaborate with various department heads to update existing policies for review, prepare revisions for final review and approval, and maintain policy records.
- Maintain record retention program and maintain accurate corporate records.
- Deceased Member Process; Receive, record, and validate deceased member records. Review and update related procedures.
- Support the Director of Internal Audit & Compliance in the processing of CTRs, as necessary.
- Perform FinCEN/OFAC processing, monitoring, due diligence, and reporting, as directed.
- Review, process, and work the BSA activity logs. Identify areas that require review and supporting documentation.
- Assume responsibility for related duties and special projects as required or assigned. Process special requests as needed in a prompt manner. Maintain organization and records for assigned special projects. Keep work area clean, secure, and well maintained.
What You’ll Bring:
- 3 - 5 years of similar or related experience
- (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.

Ability to use job related computer applications. Ability to follow instructions. Critical thinking skills. Ability to perform basic math skills, including the use of decimals to compute ratios and percentages.
