The Opportunity

Arize Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced Senior Card & Payment Specialist to serve as our primary resource for card and payment services. This position is responsible for the day-to-day administration of debit and credit cards, ATMs, digital wallets, and other payment channels, while providing knowledgeable support to members and associates.

The Senior Card & Payment Specialist also plays an important role in fraud and dispute management, payment settlements and reconciliations, vendor and system administration, regulatory compliance, and identifying opportunities to improve the security, efficiency, and overall member payment experience.

What You'll Do

  • Administer the full lifecycle of debit and credit cards, including issuance, activation, replacement, maintenance, status changes, and closures.
  • Serve as the primary resource for card-related questions from members and associates.
  • Monitor card fraud alerts, investigate unauthorized transactions, and process debit and credit card disputes and chargebacks.
  • Coordinate daily card, ATM, and payment settlements and reconciliations.
  • Administer card processing systems and related applications, including user access, security permissions, maintenance, and operational support.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for card and payment vendors, networks, CUSOs, and other third-party providers.
  • Coordinate vendor reviews, audits, certifications, security processes, and issue resolution.
  • Help ensure compliance with PCI DSS, payment network requirements, applicable regulations, and Credit Union policies.
  • Administer ATM, digital wallet, and other payment channel services and assist with complex transaction issues.
  • Support the implementation and administration of new payment technologies and services.
  • Provide training, guidance, and procedures to branch and Member Services staff regarding card and payment services.
  • Monitor fraud, payment, technology, and industry trends and recommend improvements to security, controls, efficiency, and the member experience.


What You'll Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree, relevant industry certifications, or an equivalent combination of education and applicable experience.
  • 3–5 years of similar or related experience.
  • Experience with card services, payment processing, fraud, disputes, chargebacks, or related financial services operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize priorities and move effectively between multiple responsibilities.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with members, associates, vendors, and other business partners.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use diplomacy and sound judgment when resolving issues.
